Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson has released the latest census of COVID patients in local hospitals. They have added 64 more patients – an increase of 35.6% since Monday, July 13.

Steve, what you’re not taking into consideration is the long term affects & lung damage, more & more people are experiencing. People that don’t have any underlying conditions.
Agree that those numbers have increased. However, realizing the impact on the population as a whole after almost 5 months provides a different perspective.
In July, COVID cases have tripled. Hospitalizations have also. Deaths, the lagging indicator, are 1.5 times what they were on June 30. Hard to dismiss those rates as insignificant.
Based on today’s numbers, almost 5 months into the virus –
5,360 total cases – 1.7% of total county population
281 hospitalizations – 0.1% of the total county population
62 deaths – 0.02Ùª of the total county population
