Jack Nobles has told friends – yes, he has friends – that he will not run for Benson’s seat.

Meanwhile, the Democrats may have a new candidate – Juanita Scott.

Scott is the Coordinator for Professional Development at Pensacola Junior College and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration in Administrative Leadership and a Bachelors Degree in Managing Human Resources. She was co-campaigner for Friends for a Waterfront Park on the CMP referendum.

Her candidacy could galvanize the African American community and get them interested in the race.

….This race could be won with as few as 3500 votes.
