Escambia County  had 16 of its 35 third grade classes finished above the state percentage for Level 3 or higher.  Pensacola Beach Elementary, a charter school, had all 20 of its third graders finish at Level 3 or higher – 14 points higher than 2019.
The district has two other charter schools – Byrneville Elementary 76% – up 2 from 2019 and Jackie Harris Preparatory 18% – down 13 points from two years ago.
Four other schools improved from 2019: Pleasant Grove 70%, up 12; A.K. Suter 85%, up 9; West Pensacola 46%, up 8; and Myrtle Grove 39%, up 6.
