The City of Kalamazoo’s Economic Development Corporation offers a range of services that include:
* small business assistance loans
* availability of tax abatements
* navigation of the site plan review process
* site selection
* an award-winning brownfield redevelopment program, including environmental assessment assistance
* renaissance zones
* assistance with locating in Kalamazoo’s SmartZone.
Kalamazoo also has the private foundation, Kalamazoo Promise, which we wrote about on May 7. This may be what Gene is talking about.
