LaRuby May wins D.C. race

LaRuby May is the new councilperson of Washington D.C. Ward 8

As late as midnight, Washington D.C. media called the Pensacola native’s race for the Council Ward 8 seat too close to call. The sister of Commissioner Lumon May had 152-vote lead in a 12-person race.

This morning May and her supporters are declaring victory.
