Locals out of work, Birmingham firm recommended

A email received today:

Thank you for your recent article. My husband, a local architect, is now out of work as one of the casualties from the decision made by our City of Pensacola government.

What were they thinking? Why would they not want to keep our tax dollars here locally? The whole thing makes absolutely no sense.

Many local firms depend on our City and County government for their survival. As a result of the poor decision on the part of our City government, Birmingham, Alabama will now be enjoying the profits from our new City of Pensacola Library.

We pay the taxes so that our homeless folks have a place to hang out. No wonder we have so many homeless. So, I guess we now know where our 1.5% LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX is headed….
