Markie O’Brien column review

readingHadn’t done one of these in a while.

Opens with MOB describing how many bad drivers he saw on his drive from Picadelly Cafeteria at Town & Country Plaza to  Baskin & Robbins on Bayou Blvd….I want a job where I get paid for driving around town. Wait a second, that’s what cab drivers do.

Then MOB laments Naval Education and Training Command’s commander being one star less; disses Tom Banjanin and John Wyche; expresses doubts about population growth estimates; writes about empty buildings at Garden & Palafox.

Any one of the topics would have made a good column, except for the drivers one. Tomorrow’s MOB column has the columnist driving from Esquire Barber Shop to Walgreens. We can’t wait.
