McCain/John Rich concert now free

The first press release for the GOP-sponsored John Rich (of Big & Rich) concert in Panama City on Friday would cost $10 per ticket. Now it’s free.

According to the News Herald, Democrats have a lot to say about the change in ticket price:

“Although we, and most country music fans, would prefer Big & Rich to McCain & Rich, we remain hopeful that a little ‘Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy’ will wake up the crowd after the snoozer of an opening act,” Eric Jotkoff, Florida Democratic Party spokesman, wrote in a news release. “The fact that the RPOF (Republican Party of Florida) has to give away free tickets proves that even an award-winning county star can’t get North Florida excited about John McCain.”

What’s further, Democrats noted in the release that Big & Rich normally charges as much as $99 for their shows.
