Moby says no statue

PNJ columnist Mark “Moby” O’Brien doesn’t like the Deluna statue idea. Somehow he ties the statue to the lack of better parks in the poorer neighborhoods.

I haven’t seen Councilmen Jerralds or Townsend – who Moby says oppose the statue, too – make any requests for parks in their districts. Both have served on the council for more than one term. Yet they have no park proposal.

Why does this have to an either-or situation? It’s not. If Moby, Townsend, and Jerralds want more parks or better parks, tell us where and propose a plan.

It’s too easy to shoot down ideas – for vague reasons – and offer no concrete options.
