Morgan had no impact on first Stallworth trial

The daily newspaper reports today that Attorney Michelle Hendrix, who represents Donnie Stallworth, a defendant charged in the 2009 murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings, filed a motion Wednesday for a court order keeping the sheriff greeting prospective jurors in her client’s case.

Stallworth’s first trial ended in a hung jury….. So how much influence did Sheriff David Morgan’s thanking prospective jurors for their service have on that case?

I don’t blame Hendrix for making the motion, but don’t see how it hurt the first trial.
