Mum on investigation of shooting in old Escambia courthouse

Escambia County and Pensacola Police Department are not ready to release any more information on the Aug. 12 shooting at the Escambia County Administrative Complex.

Joy Tsubooka, the county’s Community & Media Relations Manager, told Inweekly yesterday, “As of about 3 o’clock Friday afternoon, the investigation was still not closed.”

Assistant Police Chief Tom Lyter said that the Medical Examiner is waiting for results from toxicology tests before closing his investigation. He wasn’t sure how long that will take.
