Oops, another washout at Government Street Regional Stormwater Facility

The ribbon cutting for the much-anticipated Government Street Regional Stormwater Facilty, which has been schedule for Feb. 17, hit a snag during yesterday’s downpour.

The eastern bank was washed out again. Heavy rains have plagued the project since last summer. Sandbags have been placed around the hedge and dirt has been brought in to refill the area swept into the pond.

City engineering has nine days to design another fix.
