Outside agencies may have funding issues at BCC

At tonight’s budget hearing, Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is voting on the funding for outside agencies. According to county staff, several well-known agencies have not submitted the complete packages required to receive funds:

Human Relations Commission – No tax return
Pensacola Caring Hearts – No tax return
Gulf Coast African-American Chamber of Commerce – No budget, no tax return
Historic Preservation Board – No tax return/ No Letter of Determination from the IRS
St. Michael’s Cemetery – No Letter of Determination from the IRS
Silver Linings – No tax return
Downtown Improvement Board – No budget

This could make for a very interesting meeting tonight. Here are the requests: 2015_09_22_14_17_52
