The award-winning Palafox Market plans to expand its presence downtown this summer with the debut of Summer Pop-Ups, a new midweek market experience taking place every Wednesday in July at Plaza Ferdinand.
From 4-8 p.m., visitors can shop a curated selection of Palafox Market vendors offering fresh local produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, hand-crafted art, sculpture, hand-blown glass, ceramics, specialty foods and more. The free event will also feature live music, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to enjoy downtown Pensacola during the cooler evening hours.
The Summer Pop-Up series is designed to bring the energy and variety of the Saturday market to the heart of downtown during the summer season, while providing additional opportunities for local makers, growers and artists to connect with the community.
Since launching in 2007, Palafox Market has grown into one of the premier outdoor markets in the Southeast, attracting thousands of visitors annually and earning recognition from Southern Living as Florida’s Best Farmers Market.
“Summer Pop-Ups are a fun way to experience the market in a different setting and at a different pace,” said Walker Wilson, executive director of the Downtown Improvement Board. “Whether you’re picking up fresh ingredients for dinner, shopping for unique local gifts, or simply enjoying an evening downtown, there’s something for everyone.”
The Summer Pop-Up series will take place each Wednesday in July at Plaza Ferdinand in downtown Pensacola.
