Parade buzz

The city demanded $600 before the engineering dept would work on Pensacola Veterans Parade FDOT permit.

Commissioner Lumon
May, Sen Greg Evers and Congressman Jeff Miller intervened and got Escambia County to do it at no charge.

No word on whether Mayor Hayward will be in the parade or speak at the ceremonies.

If this happens again next year, the Independent News commits to raise the money for the parade to honor our veterans.
