Park Board meets

The Community Maritime Park Associates Board met today. All members attended. The group had presentations from two development groups who discussed possible ways of bidding and managing the project: Nexia Strategy Group and Land Capital Group.

Mort O’Sullivan discussed the Pensacola Contractor Academy concept. Hugh King (chair), Eddie Todd and Susan Story agreed to serve on the sub-committee to develop the concept into a viable proposal for the CMPA board to consider. PJC and the Escambia County Public Schools have expressed interest. Others to be involved include: GC African American Chamber, Gulf Coast Community Benefits Corp., National Association of Minority Contractors, O’Sullivan Creel LLP, Studer Group.
