Nearly three months after the Pensacola voters narrowly approved a charter amendment (52%-48%) that gave the Pensacola City Council the power to hire its own staff, the council will hold a workshop this afternoon on what that staff will look like.
The positions the council will be discussing include council executive (salary range: $40,456-$82,743), attorney ($63,627-$139,964), budget analyst ($28,891-$63,607) and executive assistant ($23,129-$50,877).
Also the council will discuss where will their staff’s offices be located and who will supervise them. Office space shouldn’t be a problem. The third floor of city hall lost its tenant last year and the city has been trying to lease the space ever since.
The workshop starts at 3:30 p.m. in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room on the second floor of City Hall. Here is the agenda: 01262015-776
