Pensacola moves slooooooooooooow

Here’s example of how slowly things move in Pensacola versus the rest of the world:

On May 12, 2007, Grand Prairie Texas passed a 1/8 cent sales tax referendum to fund a baseball stadium – $16 million, 4000 seats. They have already started construction and could throw out the first pitch next spring.

Yes, there are environmental challenges to the Trillium property, but Grand Prairie was ready to move once the referendum passed. We might be moving dirt on the site by the time Grand Prairie fans are enjoying their new ballpark….or we could still be studying, designing and debating.
