Pine Forest graduate gets recognition as North Carolina high school track coach

Ryan Albertson, Pine Forest High Class of 2001, is featured in the New Bern, N.C. Sun Journal for his work as cross country coach at The Epiphany School. His boys team placed third in the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association 1A championship last season, while the girls came in third.

Albertson won the Florida state championship in the 800 meters while at Pine Forest. As a junior, he was recognized by the PNJ as its top male cross country runner. In 2001, he was named male track athlete of the year.
