Pinellas County Administrator resigns

Pinellas County Administrator Steve Spratt tendered his resignation last week, effective Sept. 30, after six years of service.

In a statement presented to his Board of County Commissioners, Spratt cited a desire to avoid a public reprimand of his actions in the land deal involving Property Appraiser Jim Smith. He agreed to take corrective action deemed necessary and any other transition work before leaving.
