Pensacola Police Chief Chip W. Simmons will have a press conference for 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 20 to discuss shooting incidents that occurred this week in Pensacola. Mayor Ashton Hayward also is scheduled to attend.Specifically, Chief Simmons will discuss a shooting this week where a 15-year-old male was shot while standing at the intersection of DeSoto Street and Sixth Avenue and two incidents where someone shot into a house in the 600 block of East Strong Street.
The press conference will be in the Chief’s conference room upstairs at the Pensacola Police Department, 711 N. Hayne St.
