Poll: DeSantis crushing Putnam

According to an Inweekly/Political Matrix poll of 924 likely Florida Republican voters, Congressman Ron DeSantis is running away with the election leading Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam 50.6 percent to 30.5 percent with just under 20 percent uncertain as to who to vote for in the upcoming election.

METHODOLOGY:

The persons sampled were likely Florida voters meaning they voted in six of the last eight primary and general election cycles. They were called using an Interactive Voice Response system during the hours of 2-8 p.m. Aug. 11-14. The phone numbers called were provided by Florida Division of Elections Office. The Margin of Error for this study is +/- 3.5 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.


Real Clear Politic has averaged the July polls for GOP primary and found DeSantis led Putnam by 11.1 points, 38.8-27.8, at the end of July.

However, Survey USA/My News 13 (Orlando) poll has the recent in a virtual tie with DeSantis leading only by 2 points, 40-38, among 558 likely GOP primary voters. The Margin of Error for this study was +/- 5.2 percent. Check it out.
