Puppy poacher pleas

State Attorney Bill Eddins announced today that Angela Brooks entered a plea of no contest of Retail Theft (while acting in concert with others) on July 20, 2015. Immediately following her plea, Judge Edward P. Nickinson, III sentenced Angela Brooks to 11 months and 30 days in Escambia County Jail.

On March 5, 2014, Angela Brooks approached an employee at Petland and requested to play with a puppy. Once the employee left the area, Brooks put the dog in her purse and walked out of the store with the dog.

Okay, I just wanted to use the title. :-)
