Rubio taps Benson, Sansom

Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio named on Wednesday Holly Benson as chairman of the House Safety and Security Council.

Rep. Ray Sansom, R-Destin will lead the Policy & Budget Council, the most powerful one. Rep. Don Brown, R-DeFuniak Springs, will chair Jobs and Entrepreneurship Council, which oversees the House Insurance Committee. Rep. Aaron Bean, R-Fernandina Beach, will head Healthcare. Rep. Joe Pickens, R-Palatka, will chair Education.
