Santa Rosa administrator job down to eight finalists

Santa Rosa County Commission has to hire a replacement for the retiring County Administrator Hunter Walker.

The list of 56 applicants has been culled to eight, with the help of a committee formed by the Florida Association of Counties.

The finalists are:

Larry Newsom, former assistant Escambia County Administrator, who served twice as interim Escambia County Administrator;

Tony Gomillion, Santa Rosa County’s Public Service Director,

Jonathan Lewis, an engineer with Georgia Pacific Paper in Brewton, AL.,

Jackson County Administrator Ted Lakey, a finalist for the Escambia County Administrator job with a Masters of Public Administration from UWF,

Parrish Barwick, County Coordinator of Jefferson County, FL

Michael Brillhart, Barnstable County (Mass.) Administrator,

Randall Dowling Barrow County (Ga.) Manager.

David Record, City Manager of Ocean City, Maryland.
