Santa Rosa finalist catching heat at current job

Jackson County Administrator Ted Lakey, one of the finalist for the Santa Rosa county administrator job, is in a fight to keep his current job.

On Tuesday night, Jackson County Commissioner Eric Hill made a motion to fire Lakey for poor leadership in how he handles his employees. By a 3-2 vote, the Board of County Commissioners voted to hold a public hearing on the motion on Nov. 17. The board can vote to reaffirm the termination immediately following the hearing to make the action official.
