Escambia County School District and Naval Air Station Pensacola leaders will hold a meeting of the ECSD and NASP Joint Military Council on Oct. 22. The first hour will be a closed session for council members only. The public can join virtually from 5-6 p.m.
The mission of the ECSD NASP Military Council is to improve educational services and communication between the Escambia County School District and military families. The Council Co-Chairs are ECSD’s Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Steve Marcanio and NAS Pensacola’s Executive Officer Commander John Godbehere.
Families are invited to submit questions, ideas or concerns prior to the meeting by sending their questions to pensacolapao@gmail.com by Oct. 15.
The Oct. 22 meeting will be hosted by ECSD. The public session begins at 5 p.m. The meeting can be viewed LIVE on the ECSD’s Board Meeting Live Feed, Swagit, as well as on Facebook LIVE on the page – Escambia Schools Public Relations. The agenda will be available prior to the meeting on the ECSD Military Families Information page, www.escambiaschools.org/military.
Additional questions may be submitted on the Facebook LIVE feed and those questions will be shared with the Council during the meeting, time permitting. General questions may be answered by the Council while any questions about specific student situations will be addressed offline.
