Sorry, Gene. Thrasher has inside track to Lt. Governor

Sources close to Governor Rick Scott tell the East Orlando Post that the Governor’s Chief of Staff Adam Hollingsworth is pushing the Governor to choose Senator John Thrasher for Lt. Governor.

The spot has been open since Jennifer Carroll resigned this past March. Escambia County Commissioner Gene Valentino had lobbied heavy for the spot, but eventually was told by Scott’s supporters that he wasn’t in the running.
