Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company announces Spring Break Camp

The Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company has come up with a unique theme for its Spring Break camp. The campers will create a whodunit from scratch using Shakespearean characters, plots, intrigue, dialogue, and combat.

Each camper will get to choose a Shakespearean character to play, agree on a Shakespearean murder victim, and help write and perform an original play using Shakespearean themes. Campers will learn about the plays, acting, and stage combat in this week-long experience that culminates in a live performance!

Registration is now open for Mystery Shakespeare Theater Camp for students ages 9-17. Camp will meet at the Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company space in the old Sacred Heart hospital March 21 through 25 from 9 am to 4:30pm. Tuition is $235, and campers will need to pack a lunch. More information and registration is available at setsco.org.

The Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing teens in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties with instruction and performance opportunities that lead to their significant growth as artists and community members.
