Out of over 43,000 applicants nationwide, The Starbucks Foundation’s Neighborhood Grants Program selected only 2,700 nonprofits to receive a grant. Five local nonprofits are included among the recipients.

  • Starbucks employees nominated the nonprofits making a difference in the lives of youth, women, and underserved families. The Starbucks Foundation’s Neighborhood Grants aim to strengthen local impact through investments in community-based organizations that align with Starbucks’ mission of connection and service.

The local nonprofits are:

  • 4EVR DEZ
  • Autism Pensacola
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida
  • Gulf Coast Kid’s House
  • Manna Food Pantry

4EVR DEZ shared the good news. The nonprofit is committed to empowering teenage girls through education, confidence, and healthy relationship awareness to break the cycles of future relationships leading to domestic violence.

  • Founder Taxie Lambert, who launched the nonprofit in memory of her daughter, Desirea, said, “This recognition affirms that small, grass rooted nonprofits are making a big impact. We’re grateful for Starbucks’ support in helping us reach more girls who deserve to grow up safe, strong, and supported.”

Lambert appreciates the nominations by Starbuck employees because they  see firsthand how these nonprofits uplift the communities they serve. She said, “Pensacola has heartt. This grant not only fuels our mission, it encourages us to keep showing up, keep speaking up, and keep believing that every girl deserves a chance to thrive. We are honored to be amongst the recipients of these powerhouse and nationally branded organizations.”

This is the second year 4EVR DEZ has received a Starbucks grant. To learn more about 4EVR DEZ or how to get involved, visit www.4evrdez.org
