State budget gap grows, up to $2.5B

Gov.-elect Rick Scott will meet with state economists today. The latest estimates have the budget shortfall increasing to $2.5 billion, up from $1.5 billion a week or so ago. This is one budget shortfall the Republicans can’t blame on the Democrats. The GOP has controlled state government for the past decade…..but it doesn’t mean that they won’t try.
