WEAR TV 3 reported on a drive-by shooting on S Street. Gangs and drug dealers are getting bolder in the county. We all tend to ignore those news reports because they aren ‘t in our neighborhoods … yet.
The ECSO is sending more deputies to Pensacola Beach – which I agree is needed. He is putting more of his investigators on patrol -another good move.
However the fact is our $75+ million budget for the ECSO and the jail doesn’t appear to be working to stop crime. All the new vehicles aren’t either. We need to make our streets safe again.
Less administrators, more deputies on the street…more money isn’t needed.

Escambia County deputies are investigating a ‘drive-by shooting.’
It happened around seven o’clock tonight on “S” Street, near downtown Pensacola.
Investigators tell Channel 3 News a man wearing a ‘bullet proof vest’ was driving his mustang down the road, when he opened fire, on some *children.
No one was hurt in the shooting.
But deputies “did arrest’ 29 year old ‘Larry Salsberry.’
Charges are pending, against Salsberry.
