Tampa Bay Times reporter discusses Newpoint Education Partners

Colleen Wright has been investigating Newpoint Education Partners’ charter schools for months. The Pinellas County School Board voted unanimously Tuesday send 90-day termination notices to three charter schools run by Newpoint Education Partners and one virtual school run by NEP.

Earlier this month, an Escambia County grand jury indicted NEP and three of its vendors for grand theft, money laundering and aggravated white collar crime.

Wright came on “Pensacola Speaks” yesterday. The story she told was very similar to what we uncovered in Escambia County last year.
