We have learned that the County will telling the Tourist Development Council this afternoon that the Pensacola Civic Center will require an additional operational subsidy of approximately $250,000.

This additional amount will put the operational subsidy for the Civic Center at approximately $1.865 million for this fiscal year. It has balloon $865,000 in two fiscal years.

The tourist development tax subsidy per person attending an event at the Civic Center is now $6.73 per person. This number assumes there is no drop in projected attendance for this fiscal year (which is highly unlikely. . less revenue producing events equal less attendees).
