U.N. worries about our economy

The Miami Herald reports Latin American leaders have urged the U.N. to create stronger international economic institutions to help ward off the worldwide impact of “freewheeling money-making” in our country that has contributed to a crisis now costing U.S. taxpayers billions and putting emerging economies at risk. Since 1980, we have deregulated many industries. And regulation has become synonymous wiht big government. However, we’ve deregulated and still our federal government has grown. Don’t blame the Democrats. They have only controlled the White House for eight years of the past 18.

A free market has to have oversight….and those in power have to be transparent and held accountable.
