Vietnam War Memorial

Spent the weekend in Washington, D.C.

Had to make three stops:

Lincoln Memorial – I love reading his speech that he gave at his second inauguration and to stand on the steps of the memorial and see the Washington Monument and the Capitol in the distance. Gives me a great sense of pride in our nation.

Vietnam War Memorial – I’m always moved by the Park rangers helping families find the names of their loved ones and making etchings of the engraved names. The rangers softly tell the families: “Sorry for your loss. Thank you for their service to our country.”

Chinese restaurant – Doesn’t matter which one as long as it’s not a buffet.
