Voter turnout close to exceeding previous mid-terms in Escambia County

The Supervisor of Elections office reports 29,249 votes have been cast today. Couple the total with the 34,054 that voted by mail and 39,052 early vote, plus 82 provisional, a total of 102,437 votes have been cast —48 percent.

The split of the votes is:

Democrat: 35,626
Republican: 52,332
No Party Affiliation:13,620
Other:853

In the voter turnout in the 2014 and 2010 mid-term election was 49 percent — we will exceeded that percentage today.
