Wahoo lead league in attendance

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos had 5,038 fans in attendance on Sunday. The team is leading the Southern League, despite having one of the smaller stadiums, with 165,885 fans attending the home games and with average attendance of 4,879 per game. The naysayers told us for seven years that no one would go the games. The daily newspaper reported before the first game that the lack of parking and parking fees would keep people away. Oops, it’s always fun to see reality meet political propaganda.

The other good news is if the ticket sales trend continues for the second half of the season, the Wahoos will write the CMPA a check between $250,000-$300,000 on top of their regular lease payment.
