Eric Olson had been City Administrator for three months before he was compelled to contact the bosses of Melanie Nichols, president of the North Hill Preservation Association, on July 2.
What did she say in her emails from her federal government account that so upset Olson?
I can’t find anything. I’ve published the June email exchange regarding the radio tower.
The other June email exchanges involved a possible parking issue, where Nichols clearly identifies herself as speaking for the North Hill Preservation Association, Parking Violation Exchange; a notification about a vote by the Council of Neighborhood Association Presidents of Pensacola, Planning Board; and an email to Councilman Brian Spencer, where she is replying to request made by Spencer, Spencer.
The May emails were a three-email exchange regarding the R-2 Zoning Map, R-2 Zoning Map. Plus, there were three out-of-office replies.
There are two April emails: one email about a stolen park bench and it’s signed Melanie Nichols, President, North Hill Preservation Association, Inc., Stolen Bench ; and the other email is to Councilman Brian Spencer, not city staff- Rehab.
No smoking gun. No threats. No misrepresentation of whom she represents. No validation for the city administrator to call her bosses.
