Mike Whitehead continued his tour de force on budget cuts – which we still believe are really
from former County Administrator George Touart. Face it. Comm. Whitehead has not pushed for many budgets in his four years on the board. He actually got into a shouting match with then-Florida Speaker of the House Mario Rubio about how the state legislature was cutting county property taxes and forcing him to cut the county budget.
Ah…but this is an election year and Whitehead is trailing Wilson Robertson.
All the cuts being mentioned are in the general fund handled by the county commission. Where are Sheriff Ron McNesby’s cuts that he has been touting on the campaign trail?
