The PNJ reports that in an email that Commissioners White, Young and Valentino tricked County Administrator George Touart to resign and then reneged on the agreement. This is the same message that other Touart supporters have been saying around town for the past few weeks.
There is one correction of the Whitehead email. Janet Lander did not write his speech. Touart did with the help of his attorney. However, I do believe that Touart read that statement at the Sept. 6 because he believed that he had an agreement to get paid through April 2, 2008.
