Wilson’s Town Hall

Escambia County Commissioner Wilson Robertson will host a town hall meeting tomorrow night. The meeting will include a discussion about the upcoming Merlin Road drainage project and will conclude with an open forum.

Lately, the District 1 commissioner has taken to speaking openly about his thoughts on local press coverage and the public outcry over the return of George Touart to the county administrator’s seat. Last week, he told a group of citizens who attended a public forum to “fire us” if they were unhappy with the commission’s decision to hire Touart as an interim administrator.

Robertson will meet with the public at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jim Bailey Middle School, located at 4110 Bauer Rd.
