Tomorrow is World AIDS Day. It is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, and mourning those who have died of the disease.
On the sexually-transmitted disease front, the news is not positive for Escambia County. The Florida Department of Health reports increases this year in HIV infection cases, reported AIDS cases and cases of Gonorrhea, Chlamyda and Syphillis.
