Slutwalk: International phenomenon (photos)

“Slutwalk” protests are demonstrations against sexism, rape, sexual crimes and the injustice of blaming the victim rather than the rapist or abuser. The first one was a small protest in Toronto sparked by comments from a Canadian police official who told female students that “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.”

The Slutwalks have gone global and now have taken place in Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Could one happen in Escambia County? Have females victims been blamed for their assaults? Think about the Tate High incident and how the school district and the Tate High administration handled it.

Check out the Slutwalk website. And Sun-Sentinel has a photo gallery.
