Mayor Ashton Hayward’s budget cuts the authorized positions from 860 last year to 842 for FY 2012. The net increase to the General Fund positions is one -City Council executive. The General Fund related positions – i.e. Central Garage, Engineering, Financial Services, MIS, etc. – are decreased by 5 positions, going from 137 to 132. The Enterprise Funds are recommended to be cut by 14 employees.
