On July 21, the City released the names of the four finalists for the city council executive position: Daryl Betancur of Palm Springs, Ca; Dennis Kelly of Holiday Island, Ark; Octavien Spanner of Methuen, Mass.; and Angie Whisnant of Palatka, Fla.
This morning we received the agenda for this Friday’s workshop during which the council will interview the finalists. Kelly and Spanner are no longer among the finalists, and Donald Kraher has been added.
No explanation was offered as to why Kelly and Spanner were dropped. Kraher is the assistant city manager of Desoto, Mo. and former Police Chief of Edmundson, Mo.
