Law enforcement has evacuated the Escambia County Administrative Complex on South Palafox Street. The street has been blocked off. The word is there has been an employee-involved shooting, one fatality. Stay tuned.
Update 3:01 pm: An county employee brought a gun into the building and took his life. No one else injured.
Update 3:26 pm: Assistant Pensacola Police Chief Tommy Lyter confirmed a fatality. There is no active shooter in the building. PPD will release limited information later today, more once the investigation is complete and the family notified.
