Chip Simmons prefiles for Escambia County Sheriff

Escambia County Chief Deputy Chip Simmons has prefiled to run for Escambia County Sheriff in 2020.

Simmons stepped down as Pensacola Police Chief in August 2015, after a 29-year career with the Pensacola Police Department. He served a little over year as an assistant county administrator before moving over the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office in December 2016.
