COVID-19 cases in local nursing homes top 100

FDOH shows the county has 102 cases among residents and staff at local long-term care facilities. The increase of 32 cases since 6  p.m. Tuesday is most likely from the specimens taken at Southern Oaks on Monday.

  1. Maybe the better question, Lena, is how many LTC workers go to the beach? LTC worker comprise 38% of Escambia cases

  2. How can they keep interstates open with the number of people killed in car accidents today? Totally irresponsible! I’d no one drove cars no one would die in auto accidents right?

  3. How many “beach goers” are in long term care facilities??
    Since visits to long care facilities have been restricted from visitors how can beach goers have an impact on those already terminal people?

  4. With a clear conscience how can any of the commissioners vote to open the beach to tourists? Money over lives is Pensacola’s motto.
