Donovan Mythology: Part Four

During the Community Maritime Park referendum debate, Councilman Marty Donovan said he opposed the project because it wasn’t put out for open bid.

Yesterday Donovan voted for a hotel development on Pensacola Airport property. Sandspur Development was given an exclusive right to negotiate the deal. There was no open bidding. The CMP will create more jobs and generate more property taxes than the hotel.

Donovan also voted for Halcorp to get an extension of its lease at the Port of Pensacola. No RFP was issued for the 10 acres.
